Some of the favorite foods of Prophet Muhammad saw

According to Allah’s command, whoever can implement the ideals of the Prophet (PBUH) in his life will be successful in this world and the hereafter.So some of the foods that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) liked to eat are mentioned here. Inshallah, these foods will definitely be in our favorite food list.

  1. Goat Bones Mutton. (Sunan Abu Dawud, Hadith No. 3780)

2. gourd:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
A tailor invited Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) to a meal which he had prepared. I went along with Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and saw him seeking to eat the pieces of gourd from the various sides of the dish. Since that day I have liked to eat gourd. `Umar bin Abi Salama said: The Prophet, said to me, “Eat with your right hand.”

3.cheese:
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
The Prophet (ﷺ) was brought a piece of cheese in Tabuk. He called for a knife, mentioned Allah’s name and cut it.( Sunan Abu Dawud (Islamic Foundation)Hadith No. 3776 )

4.Vinegar:
Jabir b. ‘Abdullah reported that Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) asked his family for condiment. They (the members of his household) said:
We have nothing with us but vinegar. He asked for it, he began to eat it, and then said: Vinegar is a good condiment, vinegar is a good condiment.( Sahih Muslim (Islamic Foundation)Hadith No. 5179 )

5.Watermelon and fresh dates:
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to eat melon with fresh dates, and he used to say: The heat of the one is broken by the coolness of the other, and the coolness of the one by the heat of the other.( Sunan Abu Dawud (Islamic Foundation)Hadith No. 3793 )

6.fresh dates and cucumbers:
Narrated Abdullah bin Jafar:
I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) eating fresh dates with snake cucumbers.( Sahih Bukhari (Islamic Foundation)Hadith No. 5053 )

7.butter:
Narrated Abdullah ibn Busr ibn Atiyyah ibn Busr:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to visit us and we offered him butter and dates, for he liked butter and dates.( Sunan Abu Dawud (Islamic Foundation)Hadith No. 3794 )

8.sweet and honey:
Narrated `Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to like sweet edible things and honey.( Sahih Bukhari (Tawheed Publication)Hadith No. 5682)

9.milk:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “On the night of my Ascension to Heaven, I saw (the prophet) Moses who was a thin person with lank hair, looking like one of the men of the tribe of Shanua; and I saw Jesus who was of average height with red face as if he had just come out of a bathroom. And I resemble prophet Abraham more than any of his offspring does. Then I was given two cups, one containing milk and the other wine. Gabriel said, ‘Drink whichever you like.’ I took the milk and drank it. Gabriel said, ‘You have accepted what is natural, (True Religion i.e. Islam) and if you had taken the wine, your followers would have gone astray.’ “( Sahih Bukhari (Islamic Foundation)Hadith No. 3156 )

10.dates:
’A’ishah reported the Prophet(ﷺ) as saying:
A family which has no dates will be hungry.( Sunan Abu Dawud (Islamic Foundation)Hadith No. 3788)
